Sydney Bar Week & Indie Spirits Tasting: Dates confirmed for 2022

As our country rapidly heads towards vaccination targets, hospo venues and borders open, we optimistically look forward to a very different 2022. And we think we deserve it. So with that in mind we are excited to announce that the dates and locations for some of our key events have now been locked in.

Sydney Bar Week is back! We are booked in for 3-7 September 2022 with all the usual suspects returning, including the 21st year of the Bartender Magazine Bar Awards (Doltone House, Wednesday, 7th September), the Indie Spirits Tasting, the Business of Bars Conference, as well as a slew of other events put on by our sponsors and bar partners.

Bar Week founder Dave Spanton says: “We are excited to be forging ahead with Sydney Bar Week 2022, after two years on ice. We have already had a fantastic response from suppliers who are ready to throw their weight behind this 5-day festival.

“We are positive that come September 2022 the industry will be well overdue for the country’s biggest annual trade event. I can’t wait to get back to Bar Week and reconnect with all our industry friends from around the country after two tumultuous years!”

Now in its seventh year, the Indie Spirits Tasting series of events is Australia’s premier tasting for independent spirits producers. It’s where you get to come and sample great craft spirits from abroad and from home, and is the largest collection of Australian craft spirits producers under one roof.

The Indie Spirits Tasting travels across the country, currently stopping in Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney in 2022. Tickets for these events will go on sale in January.
