The Banco Team

His beachside venue Coretto Dee Why, showed that can bring great cocktails to the very casual Northern Beaches while also ticking that beachside cafe box. His latest offering is Banco Manly, a new 32 seat venue  specialising in modern British food by executive chef Dan Webb, low intervention wine and fun playful cocktails.

“Located down a back alley in Manly, I found the location over 12 months ago,” says Bosley. “I went to work on getting all approvals as it had a unique vibe to it, one that Manly hasn’t yet experienced: A real off the beaten track, stumble across something special kinda vibe.”

Taking the reins of the bar, Jacopo Montis (ex Zephyr, Corretto) will be focusing heavily on playful cocktails including the She’sssss Alright, served with an aromatic bubble… yes bring on the bubble!

\Venue Manager, Rhys Masterson is bringing a youthful approach to hospitality; he is welcoming and warm and enjoys a deep playlist of Hip Hop playing loud in the background. Just like The Cumberland (another Manly hotspot) this venue is located in the now bustling backstreets of Manly, where lots of little drinking and dining treasures can be found. Gone are the days when the only places to eat and drink in Manly had to be beach on the beach or harbour. You’ll find them at 17b Whistler Street, (keep an eye out for the neon wine bottle), the attention to detail in the venue can be seen with design by TomMarkHenry and branding by The Bar Brand People.

Currently open Wednesday to Saturday from 5pm and Sundays for Lobster Rolls, Caviar & Natty Wine from 3pm.
