Win a mini-whiskey barrel this Rye July with The Gospel!
The rye whiskey fanatics at The Gospel are gearing up for another exciting Rye July – a month-long immersion of all things Australian rye whiskey. This year, the Melbourne-based distillery is dedicating the annual celebration to its signature serve, the classic Manhattan cocktail.
For all of July, The Gospel is partnering with bars across Australia to feature the famous cocktail on their menus, with a major prize to be won for both bartenders and consumers in each state.
Patrons that enjoy a Manhattan cocktail have the chance to win a ‘Manhattan Experience in Melbourne’ for two courtesy of The Gospel. This includes flights to Melbourne, an itinerary packed with Manhattan-inspired activities, welcome drinks with The Gospel crew, dinner and a ‘Broadway’ show, a night at a comedy cellar, and transport and accommodation for their trip. The total prize pool is worth over $16,000.
To enter, consumers need to purchase a Manhattan cocktail from a participating venue during Rye July and record the purchase via a receipt upload to the competition website. There are seven ‘Manhattan Experience’ prizes up for grabs, with one awarded to a winner in each state (except the Northern Territory).
Participating venues also have an opportunity to win, with the top Manhattan selling and promoting venue of each state set to score an ultra-limited, co-branded The Gospel barrel and 5L of The Gospel whiskey worth over $2,600.

To participate, venues are required to list a Manhattan cocktail on the menu using The Gospel Straight Rye Whiskey for the month of July, with the recipe at the creative discretion of the venue. The venue must execute visible promotion on-site, along with the promotion of the activity on social media and through e-mail marketing channels (if available). Venues must also be willing to print or send digital receipts to consumers who purchase a Manhattan during the promotion and provide information on how to enter.
